In my very first story, I included many song references for you.  From there, I expanded into explanations of police 10-codes, Italian translations, musical terms, artistic terms and more.

Because of that, I've decided to start a list here that will give you links to visuals or videos that relate to those references.  Since I'm just starting this, they will probably appear haphazardly.

Nevertheless, I hope they provide entertainment and enlightenment for you.

"Song for Athene" by John Tavener

In "Catching My Heart" - Grand Slam Trilogy, Book 1, Nicole listens to a song from the funeral of Princess Diana in 1997.  The song was performed as they were carrying her casket out of Westminster Abbey.  The sound of the pallbearers footsteps adds quite an effect to the overall performance which is rather stunning on its own.

In a word: chills.

"My Immortal" by Evanescence

In "Catching My Heart" - Grand Slam Trilogy, Book 1, Nicole finally gets to play and sing one of her favorite tunes with a live band.  There are two versions of this song, this is the band version.

Satchmo and his handkerchief

In "Blue Inspiration" - Finding Harmony Series, Book 1, Lee Smith mentions keeping a handkerchief in his vest pocket to wipe the sweat from his head.  This was done as his homage to Satchmo, otherwise known as Louis Armstrong.

"Foggy Mountain Breakdown" by Earl Scruggs

In "Wild Temptations" - Finding Harmony Series, Book 2, Liam MacKenzie visits with the Tamerlane family for Thanksgiving.  Grandpa Ed, an avid musician with a rich history in vaudeville, tests Liam's bluegrass knowledge when he hands him a banjo for an impromptu jam session after dinner.

Not one to back down from a challenge, he calls up "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" to impress not only Grandpa Ed but his beloved Lis.

Edgar Allan Poe's tomb

In "Wild Temptations" - Finding Harmony Series, Book 2, Edgar Allan Poe's writing played an integral part in the meeting of Liam Mackenzie and Melissa Tamerlane.  His tomb, while never actually mentioned, also played a role in the near demise of Melisa.

Lee Smith's marriage proposal to Amelia Kriss

My friend Melisa, and muse for Melisa Tamerlane's character, shared this video with me of her friends marriage proposal and I knew I had to use it for Lee and Amelia in "Deceptive Cadence" - Finding Harmony Series, Book 3.  John graciously allowed me to put his touching and romantic proposal into words and even share the link to the video.

I dare you not to cry when you watch!
